    Description

This lens was designed to be used on various B&L stereo zoom microscopes to double the magnification.  I first saw these on some 7 - 30X zoom scopes to give 14X to 60X with 10X eyepieces, half that with the wide 5X oculars, and not to easily used with the 15X and 20X.   I tried it on my 7X-30X zoom B&L 'scope but wanted more working distance, so put it back in the box.  It gave about 2" or 50mm working distance, and without it I had 100mm, which suited my work more, plus it gave smaller field of view.  I then tried it with lens adapter rings on my cameras, but found those macro lenses I had were more useful for my work.  These give much better detail resolution than one gets from doubling the ocular magnification  It is in very clean condition, has been in the box in my photo accessory hardware for the last 30 to 40 years, just getting moved about.  Time for it to be used for somebody who needs or wants to extend the range of their microscope.  I have been reminded that this accessory is for the similar scopes with 0.7 - 3.0 zoom objective system, the SZ-3 and SZ-5 models,  and for some fixed magnification stereo B&L scopes S1 and s2,  and is not compatible with some models that have the later wider range zoom of 1 to 7X objectives such as SZ-7 that I thought I had recalled with these.  Thank you Madil-2695 for jogging my foggy memory on that.
